About Earth Every Day!

Earth Every Day at Leaven Community is a community festival, spring plant sale, and fundraiser for climate justice and community resilience at Leaven!

Hosted in collaboration with the Leaven Community Common House, we will re-introduce ourselves to our immediate neighbors in the Vernon-Alberta neighborhood and engage our surrounding community on the topics of climate justice and community resilience while providing a fun and family centered day.

This is a ticketed event by suggested donation only. No one will be turned away for lack of ability to pay.

What will happen on Earth Every Day

Sparrowhawk Native Plants will be onsite for folx that are picking up pre-ordered plants. Missed the pre order deadline? There will be a FLASH SALE of leftovers at amazing prices at 2pm (line usually forms 10-15min in advance). Portland Fruit Tree Project will have ample garden plants and fruiting trees and shrubs for folx to choose from throughout the day.

Visit our 2Towns Ciderhouse and Deschutes Brewery bar and Lavender Lemonade Stand, eat Leaven’s Whole Lotta Goodness bowls, tour the Leaven facility, and enjoy family-centric activities while learning about your neighborhood nonprofits and Leaven's plans to expand their climate resilience actions in the neighborhood.

Want to attend the event for free as a volunteer? We would love to have you! Sign up here.

Leaven’s Dream for Climate Justice and Community Resilience

Through an listening season in the Fall of 2023, Leaven Community unveiled a dream to become a Community Resilience Hub where diverse neighbors can grow and share food, care for one another and have access to the knowledge- and resource-sharing we all need to thrive amidst climate uncertainty.

We can’t act on this dream without our neighbors! That’s why part of this event will be to invite the surrounding communities - YOU! - to a community forum asking what “disaster” looks like in our lives - climate-related or otherwise - and how Leaven Community might be able to respond to such disasters.
