The Eleanor S. Morrison Scholarship Fund

The Eleanor S. Morrison Scholarship Fund has been established in honor of Leaven's co-founder, Eleanor S. Morrison, who served for more than seventeen years as co-director of Leaven before retiring in April 2005.

About the Scholarship Fund

Leaven is committed to making our programs and facilities financially accessible to all people regardless of income. The Eleanor S. Morrison Scholarship Fund helps to cover registrations for those who may not be able to afford the full cost of a Leaven Center event. Scholarship assistance is also available for individuals who wish to come on personal retreat and for justice-serving organizations that qualify for a rental discount.

How to Support the Scholarship Fund

You may make a tax deductible contribution to the Eleanor S. Morrison Scholarship Fund in one or more of these ways:

  • Send a check, cash, or credit card number to Leaven, P.O. Box 97, Lyons, MI 48851,
  • Make a donation online through the Leaven Center website,
  • When you register for a Leaven program, enclose a gift to the scholarship fund along with your deposit,
  • Call Leaven’s director, Jill Bedard, at 989-855-2606 to learn how you may donate stock or make a bequest in support of the scholarship fund.

However you wish to support the fund, we thank you for helping to make Leaven programs accessible to everyone!
